One of the number one excuses for not going to the gym is time. “I’m too busy”. However, Break the Mold CrossFit’s ladies know that the secret to getting in the gym includes a blend of time management, accountability, and proper sleep.
Plan your day out ahead of time. Make sure you get at least 7 hours sleep and bring your clothes with you to the gym if you don’t have a lot of time before you have to be at work. Many of our early morning workout sessions are filled with women on the way to work afterwards. However, they bring their work clothes with them and use our shower (towels and body wash included) so that they can still make it to work on time. Some of our early morning women are teachers, some work third shift and workout before going home to sleep, but they all make time for the gym.
You’ll feel better if you workout early in the morning. The women in our morning class like to workout early in order to get it out of the way. They don’t have to worry about the day getting away from them and they feel better because they continue to move after they workout, meaning lactic acid doesn’t build in their muscles and make them sore.
In our evening classes, we have a lot of moms. It can be hard to make time to get to the gym alone. Luckily, we have a play room that is visible from the main floor of our gym, so many of our moms sometimes bring their children with them and still get a workout in.
Our working women and moms all make time to get a workout in because they know it is essential to their health. Our moms are an example to their children and our working women are able to unlock their inner athlete from their younger days all with the amenities of showers and a child room in the company of like-minded, encouraging women.
