We figured we’d take a step away from some of our regular blog posts to bring you our favorites when it comes to eating out in Louisville.
All about the Meats
- Feast BBQ
High protein, great sides and plenty of healthy options makes Feast one of our go-to dinner choices. BBQ is generally a safe bet when eating out as long as you make smart choices about the sides (swap out the macaroni and cheese for a salad or vegetable).
- Stout Burgers and Beers
This place is great. I personally ate here three different times while on a weightlifting cut. They make all their burgers in house and will customize to your liking/picking weightlifting cut needs. I generally order their chicken burger on a bed of salad and it’s perfect. If you’re there for brunch add an extra egg to amp up the protein and replace that missing place in your stomach for the bun.
- Grind Burger Kitchen
Much like Stout, Grind will allow you to get one of their burgers atop one of their salads. I add a side of their brussel sprouts and get a kombucha and I am one happy person. Their brussel sprouts make me not even miss the fries and the interesting toppings on their burgers are an easy swap.
- Wild Eggs
This place is a staple in Louisville and they’ll let you make custom orders for nearly anything. I regularly order the farmer’s skillet without cheese and leave plenty happy.
- Le Moo
The hashes at Le Moo are chock full of protein and healthy vegetables. Ask for yours without the gravy and you’re good to go. Make sure you make a reservation they are always busy!
- Dish on Market
Member Mike is a front of house manager here. They have a lot of great brunch options and if you’re going to be super specific about your order make sure it’s when Mike’s working on Sunday mornings.
The decor is like something out of a Brady Bunch set and somehow it works. Probably because the coffee is out of this world amazing. With their location on Woodlawn, they’re an easy commute from the gym and it’s a great place to pop in and get a lot of work done.
- Please and Thank You
It’s true they do have the best chocolate chip cookie in town, so if you’re looking for a cheat meal this place is fantastic. Their coffee isn’t bad either.
