My name is Kelley King and I’m a traveling Phlebotomist from a small town in North Carolina. I played sports most of my life until I injured my knee which required several surgeries that lead to a total knee replacement. My love for sports and being an athlete runs in my blood despite the challenges I face on a daily basis. After so many years of making excuse after excuse due to my knee I decided it was time to get back in shape. When I found Break the Mold in my search of gyms they stood out with their welcoming attitude for anyone no matter their fitness level which is what I needed. I loved being able to do an intro before starting which put me at ease, because I knew it was going to be challenging overall.
Since starting CrossFit, I have gained back my desire to want to be in shape and do things I had been pushing away for so long. I have more definition throughout my body and dropped some weight while gaining muscle I had lost. I just overall feel so much better about myself and more confident as a whole.
If there is one thing I’ve learned since starting CrossFit it is that anyone can do it. It will push you and challenge on every level possible, but it is so worth it. The ole saying “no pain, no gain’, well it’s true but nothing comes easy in life. CrossFit has made the biggest difference in my life and it can make that same difference in yours too. Just go for it what do you have to lose?
