Marisa began CrossFit through the New You Challenge in January 2017. A long time runner, she was looking to add something new to her fitness regime and she found the perfect fit at Break the Mold CrossFit. Learn more about Marisa below.
What did you enjoy about the New You Challenge?
I enjoyed the camaraderie of the participants, no matter what level of athletic ability; we were all in it together and there to encourage each other. Although some days were tough (no one said it would be easy), I felt a sense of accomplishment after every completed session, no after every completed exercise! Another plus, each exercise was thoroughly explained and correct technique demonstrated.
What did you gain from doing the New You Challenge?
I gained more confidence because I never thought I would be able to perform some of the exercises I learned. And even though there were exercises I was not fond of, I still gained the satisfaction I could complete them!
What would you tell someone who is unsure of whether or not the New You Challenge is for them?
It is worth every penny and you will NOT regret it! Even if you determine CrossFit is not for you, you will be shocked at all you can accomplish in 6-weeks.
