What Type of People Workout at Break the Mold?
Q&A (recorded live) with some of our members
Although CrossFit began in the military and police communities, CrossFit has now started to encompass a wider range of individuals. First off, most CrossFit athletes at Break the Mold are not men, they’re women. Our gym is 85% women and all of our women either work or raise children or both. Having our play room on site greatly helps our moms to be able to workout and not have to worry about their children.
Classes are always led by a coach and generally last one hour. The workout is determined ahead of time by the coach and programmed to address the weaknesses that have been identified by the coaching staff for the gym as a whole. Starting with a fun warm up, classes move into strength and finally metabolic conditioning that tests elements of weightlifting, conditioning and body awareness. In just two weeks members see notable results and changes in their stamina, strength and energy levels.
CrossFit is perfect for becoming a well-rounded, healthy person. Are you injured or have a lack of mobility? Good news! CrossFit workouts are always modifiable to fit what you can safely do to stay active while you recover.
