Fitness exists along a continuum. On the far left we have “sickness” ie. a high blood pressure, cholesterol, or heart beat. On the far right, we have “fitness” such as a lower than 20% body fat, low heart beat, and low blood pressure. In the middle is “wellness” many Americans exist in this field of the continuum. Doctors ensure that we stay out of the sickness field, but the most fit individuals operate in the fitness realm of the continuum. Fitness is marked by a lower than average blood pressure, low heart beat, and low cholesterol levels.
